Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I serve Dual Language Immersion (DLI) learners in second grade at a Title I school, who need extra reading support. I work in small groups on targeted skills with my second graders daily. These tools will help them reach their reading goals and make them lifelong readers, who enjoy reading. We focus on skills such as blending, decoding, syllabication, reading comprehension, vocabulary, and writing along with many others.

My DLI learners are focused, dedicated, and ready to build up their phonics skills in an engaging way!

They work hard every day to become stronger readers. By helping my DLI second grade students, you can help them have the resources and supplies to receive the targeted intervention that they need and deserve.

Students need these materials in order to grow as strong readers.

Using these materials such as the CVC Spelling Board Games, Cvc Spelling Board Games and the Build-A-Sentence Game along with our phonics curriculum Fundations will allow me to give students high quality intervention services and track student data as they learn. Fundations uses explicit lessons for intensive intervention that leads to powerful results. Having these tools would help students gain skills to become lifelong readers and gives them a foundation to love reading.

These materials will make an enormous difference in my intervention groups. With these materials, reading intervention sessions will progress through our reading and phonics programs system and students will make immense progress in their reading and goals!
