My Students
My Life Skills/Autistic Support classroom is made up of 12 students from low socioeconomic backgrounds and ranging from grades kindergarten to third.
My classroom's unique design provides a highly structured school day with targeted, individualized learning opportunities in a sensory friendly environment.
Students come to me with a wide variety of abilities, challenges and interests which impact their individual learning. The students in our classroom learn best when they are engaged in lessons that involve manipulatives, games, technology, and active movement.
My Project
Our classroom is in need of a magnetic/dry erase surface on which we can practice reading and writing skills. The Royal Reading and Writing Center has space dedicated for all the areas we use on a daily basis. The new easel will be utilized during whole group instruction, small group instruction and centers. In addition privacy partitions/dividers will allow each student the opportunity to work without distraction.
Growing the love to read and write is one of the most amazing things for students.
My students are eager and motivated to learn each and every day.
