My students need the opportunity to integrate technology into our classroom. Nothing replaces pencil and paper in math class – you can’t type math! Rocketbook and Frixion are the answer for all math students and teachers!
Middle School Students are definitely a special breed but the students here at San Pasqual Middle School are, by far, something special. Most of the students have been together at our Little School in the Valley since preschool which creates a great sense of community to all who join our great little school! We welcome the middle school students from San Pasqual Academy and together we grow through our mistakes and embrace the learning process.
Our Math students have grown to love and enjoy the opportunity to collaborate and engage in critical thinking tasks while developing their math skills inside and outside the classroom.
Mathematics may not teach us how to add love or minus hate. But it gives us every reason to hope that EVERY problem has a solution.
My Project
In the digital world our students are living in, one of the hardest things to transition into the digital world is the idea of practicing math. Math is learned by doing, making mistakes, and filling pages with calculations - lugging around textbooks and notebooks year after year. Now that's a thing of the past, with Rocketbook Everlast notebooks and Frixion pens!!!
I got one of these last year and it has changed the way I teach, and I know that with a class set of these it will change the ways that my students are able to access their materials, notes and classwork.
With the ability to digitally save all notes and classwork students and I can transfer, share, and access all files at their finger tips. As we moved toward a technology plan that is 1:1 in middle school this will help our students digitize their math work and save a few trees over the years!!
