Half of my students started school for the very first time in August. The other half started school in January. We are a Title I school serving many low-income families. My students come from varied backgrounds including a variety of primary languages including English, Spanish, and Chinese spoken in their homes. All of my Pre-K students are so excited to begin their adventure in learning!
Nothing is more rewarding than seeing an excitable group of four-year-old students enjoy their first taste of learning in a school setting.
Boys and girls from varied backgrounds begin working and learning together. We need supplies that will expose them to new ideas and experiences while providing them the perfect chance to begin communicating with their new friends.
Our new sand table is on the way! We need sand for little hands to shovel and sift!
While sand supplies what we need for outside play, we also need inspiration for inside play for the days when our Florida weather keeps us inside.
Building is a big part of our day. Imagine the fun we could have creating our own versions of bugs. And we love STEM projects. Reently we built bridges for the 3 Billy Goats Gruff. Now my fairy tale lovers would like to create a way to bring Rapunel down from her tower prison. With creative supplies and our imaginations, we can't be stopped!
