My Students
Due to Hurricane Harvey, my school was flooded with 2 feet of water. As a result, all of our supplies have been unsalvageable. I am starting over in hopes to have my classroom up and running for the start of the new school year.
My students' school is one of the schools in Houston ISD that was severely affected by Hurricane Harvey.
The materials in the classroom will not be able to be utilized this school year. The apartment communities were flooded and have caused many of our students to be displaced. Unfortunately, this will make our mobility rate really high for this up and coming school year. I want my students to have the supplies need to have a successful school year.
My Project
Our school was damaged after Hurricane Harvey. As a result, our students were displaced and had to be bused to the middle school campus. Many of our students have been displaced from their apartment community and are living in shelters. We will be returning to our building for the second semester. I do not want the parents to worry about the cost of new material for the second semester.
We are starting over completely and need materials to help us to be successful.
The items I am requesting will be beneficial to the students as we put together our classroom. The supplies will be utilized as classrooms supplies and in our workstations.
