Help me give my students opportunities to be active, especially in the only environment they will receive physical activity and movement.
My students need materials to stay physically active for a minimum of 30 minutes per day.
My amazing children are ages three, four and five years old. They are creative, curious and so ready to learn. Our multi-age, inclusionary classroom is geared for children to learn through hands-on, active learning.
My children have such potential to become successful life long learners.
They demonstrate excitement and curiosity when it comes to learning in the classroom. With ongoing parental engagement and community support, they can become the successful individuals we know they can be, now and in the future.
Our rural community has seen some unfortunate changes in demographics over the past few years. Over ninety percent of my students have qualified for the program by meeting federal poverty guidelines. Many of our families/ students deal with food insecurity, poverty and homelessness.
Despite the challenges the children face every day, they want to learn and are excited about any new opportunities that they are presented!
My Project
Daily my students arrive and barrage me with questions of , "Are we going outside today"? or "Is it gym today?" because when they return home they live a sedentary lifestyle, one of video games and movies.
With these materials my students will be able to stay and remain physically fit for a minimum of 30 minutes daily..
outside or indoors. Materials, like those I am requesting donations, will aid in this process.
By exposing my preschoolers with the importance of physical education at a very young age in a fun way can lead to a physical lifestyle they can and hopefully carry into adulthood.
