Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students and I are currently engaged in online, live learning sessions via the platform Zoom. I'm also in constant communication with my families via the application Class dojo, email, and phone calls. I've had to guide the parents through the process of downloading some of the applications.
My Project
My first-grade students are highly motivated and eager learners. Most of my students come from low-income households and are English Language Learners. My students were used to daily class routines and activities. Due to the pandemic, many of them don't have access to basic materials that we use daily to build, create, and continue learning.
Children need interactive journals, writing paper, and art supplies to help them create and let their imagination soar.
Help me enhance my students' long-distance learning with these basic supplies, stimulating learning with busy hands and busy minds.
