Help me give my students a creative way to learn about writing screenplays through the creation of stop animation. Students will use LEGO mini figures or clay figures to make the characters come to life.
My seventh graders are hard working, creative students with a passion for learning. Many of these students are overcoming obstacles such as learning differences and economic disadvantages. Despite these challenges, my students come to school eager to learn. Each semester, I am repeatedly surprised by the creative and unique projects my students create.
My Project
Ready, Set, Action! will provide a creative way for my students to learn about writing screenplays through the creation of stop animation. Students will use LEGO mini figures or clay figures in front of backgrounds to make the characters come to life.
Students will learn how to use lighting, backgrounds, and sounds as they record their stop animation movies based on the screenplay the students have written.
Students will record using classroom iPads and utilize the mini figures, clay, background, lights, and iPad stand in an effort to make truly unique movies.
