Help me give my students the encouragement they need on the days we have state testing.

My Project

I teach 4th and 5th grade ELA (this includes reading, writing, and grammar) at a small rural school. Our poverty percentage is extremely high and most of our students struggle with issues in their home lives.

These motivational books, fidgets, and candy incentives will bring encouragement to my students each day before testing.

We have 4 days of ELA testing during our state testing week. I love to write my students a note and give them each a small prize or candy each day to motivate them and ease their worries before testing. I feel like this calms their nerves and lets them know that they can be successful on the state test. I also would love to have these books to read to my students before testing, so they will be able to see that everyone sometimes gets the "jitters" or anxiety before a really big test. I want my students to know that testing is important, but they are more important! I like to encourage them to do their very best and to not be nervous.

Please help me get the materials and motivational supplies I need to give to my students each morning before they begin their test.
