Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Kindergarten students attend a diverse California elementary school in a very high poverty area. My thirty boys and girls love to ask questions and find things out about their world.
My Kindergarten class is the only Kindergarten class stuck out in a bungalow.
This means we do not have a sink in our classroom and the bathrooms are quite a ways away. They also have to cross an often crowded "big kid" playground to get to our own small playground. Everything takes a little more time.
My Project
I am requesting an ESGI software subscription because each year my school has an Art Show and Kindergarten students don't have the time to create their submissions. ESGI software will allow me to be able to quickly assess and monitor the progress of my students' learning of letters, sounds and math skills allowing my students to have more time in the Art studio and create submissions for the Art Show.
Please help my student get the valuable creative time they deserve by cutting assessment time in half!
With ESGI assessment software I can test my students quickly and efficiently which allows more time for my students to learn, explore, and grow. I will also be able to print practice material if there are deficits and share information with families, differentiating for each individual learner. Being able to cut down on assessment time provides more time for engaging activities and small group instruction, as well as being part of our school community by participating in the Art Show. The next Art Studio lesson will be on using light and geometric patterns in Art and my students deserve to be part of it! ESGI will also help my students track their own progress so they can set new goals and continue to grow!
