Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Who wouldn't love third graders? Each day, my students enthusiastically enter the classroom and are eager to get their hands on the day's learning adventure. They are a very happy, friendly, and easy going group of children who make going to "work" very easy.
The students have a lot of positive energy and are willing to try just about anything.
It's impossible not to be swept away by their unbounded enthusiasm and excitement for learning. Most of the students enjoy working in groups, participating in hands-on activities, and sharing with the class. They are very respectful of one another and listen to each other's thoughts and ideas.
My Project
Who doesn't love recess? With the warmer weather upon us, my students will be playing outdoors during recess. The problem? There is a lack of outdoor equipment available in my building. Long gone are the days of playing tag or catch with a friend. Due to COVID, the children are restricted as to what they may "play" during recess. Children are only allowed to engage in structured games and activities led by a school aide.
When it's time for the children to get out and play, I would love to provide them with the tools and equipment needed to have fun and stay active.
Whether in the gym on a rainy day or outdoors on the playground, this equipment will help organize a variety of activities to keep the children energized and ready to tackle the remainder of the day.
