This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My 1st grade classroom is a room full of eager, kind students. The students range in age from six to seven years old. My school is located in Nevada in a very high need neighborhood. My school is an elementary STEAM academy where the students are encouraged to invent, explore and be creative. My students are inquisitive and have a real joy of learning. My students are always eager to come to school and take great pride in their work.

My Project

We want the students to be reading nightly at home. With these book bags, we can send books home with our students. The book bags will keep them in perfect condition! The clear-view bags feature easy-grip handles for our students, they snap securely closed so nothing will fall out, and they have plenty of room inside for books, journals, writing supplies and more. The book bins are a great way for the students to see the books that are available to read and take home. They are sturdy and can fit into our existing bookshelves that we have in the classroom.
