My students need Scholastic Magazines so they can have good non-fiction and fiction reading materials that they can call their own.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students literally come from everywhere yet they all have the same goal, to learn! Our school is a Title l school which means that we have a high level of students who live in poverty. Our school is also a large ESL community. We have students from many different countries who speak many different languages.
The students in my school work extra hard to learn.
I am amazed each year at how much they do grow in just one school year. I am creating this project because I care about my students and want them to have a positive experience and I want them to love learning and to look forward to new and challenging experiences.
My Project
My students love to learn about the world around them. Scholastic Magazines bring the world to them in a way that they can understand. It places knowledge at their level of learning and make it possible to see and read about new things.
We all want to learn about the world around us and these magazines make it easier for my students to do this.
The magazine puts print material in their hands. It becomes their magazine and they can then take it home and re-read and share what they learn.
Scholastic magazines are the perfect way to give my students the non fiction reading practice they need. The articles are interesting to all students and when something is interesting my students will want to do it.
