Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My second graders attend a K-6 Stem School in Fallbrook, Ca. My 25 students are curious, enthusiastic, and creative; my students are eager to immerse themselves in any kind of challenge.
Help my students learn to read.
82% of my class is English Language Learners. They are struggling in learning to read, their rate of speed in reading and comprehension. All my students qualifiy this year for free lunch.
My students love to be read to but get more excited when they are able to read on their own.
My Project
They will be using the 3 minute solution and scholastic news to help them learn to read. The three products will help my students with fluency and comprehension. They will be introduced to fiction and nonfiction grade level passages.
The 3 minute solution will be used daily with all my second graders.
The scholastic news will be read and used to write about what they have learned. All students should be given the literature that they feel they can read and understand independently. Thanks for supporting our future leaders of America. All students should be given this incredible opportunity!
