Help me give my students books they can read with their families at home. I am requesting titles like Wedgie and Gizmo, Toys Go Out, and How to Catch a Unicorn.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Education has rapidly and suddenly been turned on its head. I teach Kindergarten and it has been very hard to connect with my students through online learning. It's been challenging for my littles-they would much rather be in the classroom and they just don't understand why this is our new normal.
The one thing they have lost access to is books!
We had a whole library in the classroom and my students could read every day. That has changed. Many of my students are no longer reading daily simply because they do not have those resources at home.
I am still trying to do read-aloud with them using online lessons but only a small percentage of my students are able to participate. Most households do not have devices other than a parent's phone (which is with them during the day if they are still working). It has been really hard to not be able to connect with my students.
My Project
Reading is one of the most important skills we teach in Kindergarten. We worked hard all year laying the foundation and fostering a passion for reading, however, my students just don't have books at home to continue their practice.
My students LOVE reading books about their favorite characters!
My beginning readers, I am hoping to be able to give books like How to Catch a Unicorn and Biscuit. We are also requesting chapter books that families can read aloud with their kiddos-Toys Go Out and Wedgie and Gizmo are amazing stories to make the students laugh.
Kindergarten students are really trying to adapt and cope with distance learning. They would be so grateful to have these titles as their own.
