This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are learning from home and need books and other hands-on materials. We have been reading books via Zoom classes, but I need a wider variety of stories to keep them engaged. They have already received some hands-on science kits that they love, so some of the books can supplement what they are learning.

My Project

My students are practicing reading comprehension and behavior skills during virtual Zoom sessions 3 times per week. Having these books will help them to stay engaged and get excited about having new books to listen to. Many of these books are new for my students, but are tried and true. Maybe some of them are your favorites! These books have created readers and have vibrant stories and pictures that will encourage my students to do more reading while they are out of school. Help my class to learn new skills and maintain what they’ve learned through classic picture books!
