My students are a group of 19 first graders. They walk in every day eager and ready to learn. Within my students, there is a wide variety of learners and interest. Working in a low-income school, unfortunately, means that not all my students have access to a lot of resources. However, that does not stop them from wanting to learn new things every day!
I have a group of loving and strong-minded students that are ready to take on any task given to them!
My students are well on their way to becoming fluent readers. Their excitement when they conquer a hard book and their eyes light up is what makes teaching all worth it.
Reading is one of my favorite hobbies, and I hope to teach all my students the value and importance in reading daily! These books will be used throughout the year in our classroom library. As a first year teacher, I do not have many books to start off with. These books will help fill the bookshelves in our classroom. Students will be able to read these books independently, as they grow and become fluent readers!
Students will be able to discover how fun it is to read and how reading can take you places, all while learning valuable lessons!
These books will make a huge difference in how my students will learn to find the main idea, theme, and other important academic parts in a book. They will also be used to teach students how to become better citizens using fun stories they are able to relate to.
