My Students

I teach students from various cultural backgrounds. With these differences, each student adds something wonderful to create a dynamic learning environment. They enjoy working and learning together and using their imaginations to create new worlds. The students enjoy listening to many different stories and hearing about the adventures of their favorite literary characters. The school is a large urban public school where all of the students receive free or reduced priced lunch. The Head Start program services students from low income families.

My Project

Preschoolers enjoy many different books. It is important to expose them to different types of literature. I would like to expose my students to non fiction literature. Through the use of Scholastic magazines, they can experience this genre in an exciting way.

Please help my students receive funding for Clifford's Big World Scholastic Magazine.

They enjoy the exciting illustrations and the predictable text. They are able to follow along during shared reading experiences.

With your help, we will be able to receive a class pack of this fabulous magazine. We will have it delivered bi-weekly and it can be incorporated into our curriculum. The students will follow along as we read together.
