My Project

I have written this project in hopes of transforming my students' learning experience once again. Who doesn't enjoy celebrating their success and dressing the part?! I would love for my students to begin literacy centers and small group time by dressing for the role of a scientist, a reading scientist!

Learning to read is a big job in kindergarten and it involves accomplishing a lot of smaller steps along the way.

I want to celebrate my students' accomplishments by acknowledging the mastery of each of those steps. With the transfer paper, I plan to create badges signifying accomplishments in various areas that can be transferred onto the lab coat. Not only will this give them something to be proud of, but it will provide the encouragement needed as well.
