Help me give my students guided reading books to assist in their literacy growth.

My second graders will come back to school extremely excited to learn and explore new reading selections. The students will be eager to learn and I am looking forward to meeting them! I anticipate that they will be very eager to learn. Second grade is the end of primary and prepares them for the elementary years so it is extremely important for them to have a good instructional year with essential resources.
My students all live in a low-income poverty school area.
They face many challenges even before they enter the classroom. Some endure things others can only imagine. Despite these challenges, they want to learn and excel. My goal is to make the classroom a safe haven and an exciting learning opportunity for them. The classroom has a variety of learners in the classroom. These include above, on level, below, and very below level scholars. Each student has a unique need and it is my responsibility to make sure that they are met.
My second grade students will come with below, at level, and some with intermediate reading fluency skills. Depending on their skill set and level, they will need guided reading lessons. These lessons will develop their fluency and comprehension skills of both nonfiction and fictional texts. These books will add to the literature-rich environment.
Second graders need to be exposed to excessive amounts of literature on a regular basis.
These books will assist with effective small groups and guided reading lessons. The best way to increase reading ability is to increase reading. I love the variety of books at each level. The students will enjoy the books and appreciate the variety of selection on books. This will allow for tremendous growth in their reading levels with regular usage.
Students will be allowed to take the books home to practice fluency as well. These books will get a lot of usage and will help tremendously with the growth of their reading levels.
