My students need a flex-Space Comfy Couch to make reading enjoyable instead of just sitting at their desk or on the tile floor.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are full of energy! From the very beginning of our day to the very end my students come in ready to confront any challenges and obstacles with a positive attitude. Besides being active learners they also love having free time to read! Some of my students struggle with reading whether it is their ability to read or getting motivated, but once they find that book they love its hard to keep them from reading. Together we work towards making learning a fun and positive experience!
My class is composed of 7 girls and 11 boys full of imagination and commitment to do excellent in 3rd grade.
We are part of a very friendly school and community that focuses on providing a positive atmosphere and make it our goal to help and inspire our students to do their very best every single day.
My Project
I am a first-year teacher and I have been working hard to provide as many resources as I can to help my students exceed their goals. My goal is to help make reading more exciting and something pleasant by providing them with a safe space for reading. This way they can immerse in the book and find joy in it. I really love to read and I would love to share that positive feeling about reading and finishing a book by providing them with a Flex Space Comfy Couch.
If we had this item my students would be more excited about reading and having a reading center.
My students would be more motivated to read every day and it would help them achieve a higher reading level to help prepare them for their state test and move on to 4th grade. In addition, the couch would help make my reading center look more inviting to my current students and future students as well! Please help motivate my students and find that joy of reading by giving them a space in which they can feel safe and comfortable reading some of their favorite books while also preparing them for the 4th grade!
