My Students

My students are energetic, curious, and funny. They love to move around while learning and reading. I am trying to get a reading carpet for the students. We need a rug for them to sit on while I am reading to them.

My students were thrown into a new classroom a month after school started and I am trying to make it feel warm and welcoming.

I am trying to create an environment that is welcoming and where they can sit and be comfortable. The floor is hard and the students don't like to sit on it for long. We need a rug for our room.

My Project

My students need a nice comfortable spot to sit on while I am reading to them. I have found that when they sit for too long on the hard floor, they start to wiggle and squirm. This causes them to run into other students. This is a crucial learning time for them. I need to keep them engaged the whole entire time. We create anchor charts and have serious discussions while on the carpet. I feel students pay attention and retain more when they are nice and comfortable. I just want to give my students what I feel they deserve.
