Reading Rug: A Comfy Place to Read

My students need a new carpet for our classroom library. The area next to our classroom library has hard tile flooring. A new carpet would give the children a new place to read.

My Students

My school is committed to creating an environment that is inviting, rigorous and conducive to learning. A positive emotional climate, supported by academic rigor and clear, measurable objectives, is a component of all classrooms.

My school's proximity to Fort Bragg Army Base means that a large population of the school has military connections, and the school serves many military families.

Fort Bragg Army Base covers over 251 square miles in four counties (Cumberland, Hoke, Harnett and Moore). Our school is located minutes away from the military base.

My Project

Our classroom library has a growing collection of books, but it is lacking a comfortable place for the children to sit. The flooring next to our class library consists of hard tiles. It is not a comfortable place for children to read.

The children need a new rug and lighting to create an environment that supports a love of reading.

This project will give the children a comfortable place to explore new and exciting books. Supporting this project will help the children in our classroom build a lifetime love for reading and learning. Please help to nurture a love of reading in our classroom.
