This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are special because they work hard to meet their goals, are compassionate toward each other, and have a grand desire to learn. I love that my students walk into my classroom ready to pick up a book and read. They love to pick a spot in the class, get comfortable and let their minds explore a different world. Reading increases creativity, empathy, and motivation and has many more benefits.

Help me instill a love of reading in my classroom by providing reading chairs for my students.

Research indicates that lifelong readers are healthier, more successful, and spark continuous learning. Reading will help my little learners achieve success in all areas of education down the road. As Garrison Keillor once said, "A book is a gift you can open again and again."
