This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Help me change the way my students feel about reading. In order to be successful in life, you have to be able to read fluently.

My students are struggling readers in the 7th grade.

They are very energetic and fun to work with. Most of them are hard working when it comes to every subject, except Reading. My goal is to change that! My school is a public school that serves economically disadvantaged students.

My Project

I need 2 eReaders for my Literacy Groups and Workstations. My students will be able to download hundreds of books from the Internet. They will learn how to effectively use the device and search the web for authors and books. Having access to the eReaders will spark my student's interest in reading. They love technology, so I am sure they will benefit from having these electronic readers in our classroom.

Help me change the way my 7th grade students view reading.

Fund these eReaders and allow them an opportunity to excel in reading. I know that my kids are distend for greatness. These resources will help move them one step closer to making that a reality.
