My Students

My students are amazing individuals with various disabilities, including down syndrome, specific learning disorder, ADHD, and more. These students are the hardest working group of children as they challenge themselves each and every day to accomplish things that they at first see as impossible. My students are in a separate setting where their individual needs are being met both academically, socially, and emotionally. Before coming into this small group setting, students often have been overcome with defeat. However, they soon unlock potential in themselves that they didn't even realize at first was possible.

My Project

I am asking for these books as many of my students don't have access to literature at their appropriate level. These books would give students the chance to enjoy reading, no matter what level that may be. It is very difficult for students who are reading at so many grade levels below to feel success in their reading, and these books would just do that.

These books would make them feel excitement in reading.

They will have a chance to practice and use the tools they have been learning in class on a piece of literature that they get to choose. Please take the time to help these amazing one of a kind students!
