I have 16 wonderful kiddos in my classroom! Most of my kiddos come from rough home lives so when they are with me I want them to be in a caring environment where they feel loved and important. Making my classroom feel more like a home, warm and inviting is important to me. My kiddos are always willing to help myself or other teachers out whether we need errands ran, copies made, or papers passed out. I love their willingness to do their best and their love for learning.
My Project
Reading is Awesome! This year not only in my district but also in my classroom we are putting reading in the spot light. I want to bring back the love of reading to my students.
We currently only have a few special reading chairs in our classroom.
Some of our project has comfty reading chairs in it. What better way to create a fun reading space than to have special reading seats to make our reading time more comty and special.
We also only have one bookshelf in our room. It is a pretty run down book shelf that is small so our books do not stay very organized during the day. So the other thing we are asking for is new book shelves. Not only will this help us keep our library organized but it will help create a special reading area for us to read in. I truly believe that these materials will help to make a better reading area and show my kiddos that reading is fun and it is possible to love reading!
