I teach fabulous fourth graders all subjects in a wonderful neighborhood school. My school has been around for many years and we are lucky to have had generations of families attend our school. Many of our students have had siblings, parents, aunts and uncles attend our school. There is a lot of school pride within our walls.
My students are eager learners who work diligently every day to acquire new knowledge.
My students are athletes, artists, creative thinkers, eager learners and so much more. They have many different interests and talents, and come from several different countries. Having so much diversity within my classroom makes teaching my students fun and challenging every day.
My Project
I would love to share Storyworks with our fourth grade students.
All children should have access to a variety of reading materials in order to keep their interest in reading!
The magazines would allow them an opportunity to read stories, poems, and other reading materials in a magazine format rather than just reading in books. Anything we can do to encourage reading and to excite students about reading is helpful! During our EL block time, students can access the magazines during small group instruction time with their teacher or during independent reading time when they are reading on their own.
