I am a general education teacher in an inclusion classroom in Hawaii. I currently have 21 students with different academic and behavior needs. All of my students are unique and extremely eager to learn. They require a lot of differentiation and they enjoy doing activities that keep them moving throughout the classroom.
My students are enthusiastic and curious learners.
They love to work together and be given the opportunity to show off what they know or what they have learned. My students come from different background,s but most of them are military-related. They are sweet and caring students who help each other out and they want each other to be successful.
My Project
All of my students are eager to sharpen their reading skills and these different reading kits will help them do that. These kits will give my students options to pick from during their ELA center time. They will help the students to be able to get more practice on the comprehension skill that they are working on in the classroom which will help make them more proficient and help them master the skill.
With these reading kits, my students will have options during the reading center to help them master their skills.
My students love to have different activities that are engaging and fun to help them master a variety of reading skills. Becoming a fluent reader and being able to use a variety of reading strategies will help all my students, especially my struggling students, to become better readers. These kits will help make learning to read more fluently and learning reading strategies more fun and different then the traditional reading style.
