Reading, reading, gone! Once my kiddos start reading a series they are off and running, improving their reading and comprehension skills. My students fall in love with books that come from many popular series. The connections they make to all genres; from Graphic Novels of Amulet to Historical Fiction and the I Survived books, keep my students craving more and more books.
They are HOOKED and are always wanting to read more!
My students are avid readers but are in need of more options in my classroom. Their interest and reading levels range far and wide, but series are an essential part of getting those reluctant readers to begin a journey with their favorite character and author.
With more series and options my students will have the ability to choose their own path to reading and success!
My Project
As my students are getting more and more into reading, they are requesting more series and novels to add to be added to our classroom library. The Lunar Chronicles are a fan favorite for many of my SyFy lovers and these novels would help them continue reading and loving this author, Marissa Meyer. Other students of mine have been obsessed with Warriors series with the Fantasy Fiction genre by Erin Hunter.
With these high interests series, my students can continue to fall in love with reading as they get hooked to these amazing authors and titles!
These materials will help my students with their reading stamina, fluency and comprehension skills, which then can improve their reading in all subject areas.
