My Students

I work at a school district that serves 90% of Native American students. We are a small, local school. The class sizes are around 18-20 students per classroom. My students work hard and they are excited and eager to learn. Most students are eligible for free or reduced-price lunches. I have worked at this school district for 20 years.

My Project

The reading cart would help to create literacy workstations that are easy to store and use for all of my students. Reading stations are a fun way to get students involved in word building and reading at their own learning levels.

The students can easily take the bins to their desks for individual or small group projects to focus on word building and sight word recognition.

My students love center activities that allow them to choose activities to enhance their reading and writing skills. These tools would be perfect for that task.
