Reading Plus for Building Better Readers

My Project

During this school past school year, 12 of my struggling students were able to utilize the online ReadingPlus program. Due to some scheduling issues, they were unable to start it at the beginning of the year. Not only did my students love the program but it helped my students become better readers.

Students that were on on the Reading Plus program also increased their scores in fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension.

They enjoyed reading the stories and completing the quizzes. This year I plan on using the program right from the start and with more students.

We are a Title I school with 85 percent of our students coming from low-income families. Many of our students struggle with reading and using this program helped bridge the gap between our higher readers and lower readers.
