We are a Title I school with students from many different backgrounds. Many of our students are just beginning to learn English as they start school this year. In my pre-k class alone, five different languages will be represented this year.
We have twenty, four-five year olds walking through our door every morning with the desire to learn, explore, create, and imagine.
Their love for learning is admirable and they are compassionate to those around them. These students are full of curiosity and I cannot wait to watch them discover their strengths as our year progresses!
My Project
My students are getting so curious about what words say and what some letters stay! I am wanting to foster this desire to learn to read by providing my students with more sight word and reading activities! We are working so hard to be ready for Kindergarten in just a few short months!
We are getting closer and closer to reading every single day!
Help us achieve our goals of learning all of our sight words and beginning sounds by the time we finish pre-k! We are in need the magnetic sentence strips and sentence strip holders so we can work together during group time. We are also in need of easy readers for those who have achieved their sight words! We are so excited about this next step of learning! Even our English language learners are progressing well! We can't be stopped now!
