Help me give my students the exposure to many different types of texts! We use mentor texts often to introduce topics of study, guides for writing, and exposure to new books!
I teach a third grade class with students whose minds open up and just pour out imagination. These students are responsible, respectful, and always engaged in our lessons. They are so special to me, and I want to give them the best resources out there!
My class keep me on my toes, and remind me of why I went into teaching in the first place!
My students are very social, and often want to be around their friends so sitting still is a challenge because they love interacting with each other so much! I am able to foster those relationships with partner and group work, which they love!
For a class that excels in both math and reading, they are always looking for new ways to find the same answers and express their feelings. One of my favorite things our class has done thus far is continually build relationships with each other. We had 2 new students join us mid-year, and it was like they had been here all along!
My Project
These materials will make a difference in my students' learning because they will have access to many different types of texts. These books will be used to expose students to the various types of reading and writing genres that we learn in school. These books will be used during lessons to introduce the genres we will be learning about in school.
Kids love to be read to, and with more books to read to them, their love for reading continues to grow!
Not only will I get to enjoy these books, but my students get to experience a whole new world through them!
