This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
In a perfect world my students would walk into class without any challenges that affect their education. However, my students are faced with social and economic challenges, and a variety of special needs. My students need and learn best with daily drill and practice, and centers!
My students come from predominately high poverty, high needs single parent homes.
To add to the socioeconomic challenges, my students have special needs which make learning a little bit harder. I teach in a Title I school, grades fourth-fifth. I have the best students in the world because they are mine. My students are always learning, but learn best with hands-on and differentiated instruction. They love to integrate learning stations with hands-on learning centers, and games in their work any chance they get.
My Project
Everyday, we practice math and language arts. Some concepts are very difficult to grasp for students with disabilities. Understanding academic vocabulary is the first step to comprehending math and language arts concepts. With the centers, students will build an understanding and love for learning new concepts and language skills.
My kids are the coolest kids around!
They deserve the best in every aspect of life, especially in their education. Help me to help them achieve their best by partnering with me. You will help this class and many students to come. Thanks in advance for your generous support!
