My Students
I am a Third Grade teacher, with 22 amazing students that cannot wait to get their hands on a good book. They will be working very hard this year to become fluent readers. They will learn to track their progression through reading levels and set their own personal goals. My students are very ambitious when it comes to reading and they have all accepted the challenge to read one million words this school year and become a member of the millionaire club.
Everyone wants to make sure this school year is no different than previous school years and create an atmosphere for students to thrive in.
Ensuring every students has what they need for this school year is a top priority and will pave the way for a smooth school year with impeccable results.
My Project
This will be my first year teaching and am excited to build a classroom library for 24 amazing students. We can't wait to have D.E.A.R. (Drop Everything and Read) as a part of our daily schedule. Being able to have several series of books children love and adore, will be the biggest help.
Captain Underpants will help those children that love comedies.
Goosebumps will service those students that love a good scare. Having a variety of books from different genres and different reading levels will be the best start for what we know will be the most amazing year yet! We want to make sure we have something for everyone.
