Our classroom is a place where learning thrives through the use of technology, creative disciplines, manipulative centers, and teacher-facilitated instruction. I love to let my students explore through self-discovery, collaborative groups, and communication.
My students are a very lively, busy bunch!
They love to work together in centers and learn from each other. They are a family unit. Our school facilitates this style of learning by offering and supporting many different styles of learning environments, through creative and technological programs. We also emphasize the importance of character traits through the use of our "Charger Traits." Be Responsible, Be Respectful, Be Caring, and Be Safe. Each morning, we kick off the school day by singing our "Charger Trait" chant to the tune of "We Will Rock You!" What a way to motivate your day!
My Project
These materials will help keep all our fancy reading materials, tools, and gadgets nice and tidy!
I am a firm believer that everything has a home.
Having a cart and toolbox will come in handy this year while transitioning from class to class. It will give me space to organize all our reading goodies and materials and allow for easy access to the materials. I plan to label drawers and more to help students know right where to go for what they need.
I also like for my students to be problem solvers by independently gathering supplies and materials as they need them. This further instills responsibility and helps cut down on classroom interruptions.
