My Students

I am currently teaching at a Title I, inner city school. Most of my kindergartners come from diverse backgrounds with English being their 2nd, 3rd, or even 4th language. The students are eager learners and are so excited to be entering school for the first time! My kiddos are so loving and happy to be in the classroom with students their age to build relationships and friendships.

I love school." At this age children are so eager and engaged to learn! They are exploring new materials, learning how to write, improving their fine motor development, and using hands-on experiences to further their understanding of concepts taught.

My Project

The pillows will help create a comfortable, cozy reading experience. Children are just becoming familiar with books and literature and having a place where they can get cozy and explore the concepts of print is so important to develop early literacy skills.

I also have library time during my centers and right now students are bringing their books to their desks to read them.

I would love to give the students a place in the classroom that is designated for reading & helps promote literacy development in a cozy setting.
