This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are excited about all the changes this year in the counseling program, as this is my first year here. They are even more excited to learn about all the different coping skills, emotions, and feelings we discuss in classroom guidance weekly. I have an amazing group of students who are new to me!

My students come from many different backgrounds but the majority of them are from a low socioeconomic status. My goal is to help them grow emotionally and mentally and become successful in life.

My Project

The items requested already have a perfect home! The canopy and pillow will provide a comfortable area for my students to take time a read. The bookshelf I am requesting will be designated to only character education books. Having an area in my room to, not only store them, but to organize them by topic will allow my individual and group sessions to go much easier!

is trying to encourage to READ! If I can provide them a place where they can not only read in silence but also be able to take away values and morals from what they are reading - It would be incredible.
