My students are smart, caring and always ready to solve problems. Our school has many dedicated teachers who provide rigorous instruction to students in pre-kindergarten to fifth grade. Our goal is to motivate, challenge and prepare our students for success in high school, college and their future careers.
My third-grade class is comprised of eighteen creative and hardworking students from diverse backgrounds.
They come to school each day excited to learn and be with one another. Some of their interests include drawing, reading, football, soccer, and jump-roping! My students look forward to coming to school and I'd like to keep it that way!
My Project
Reading is so important in our student's lives. My students love reading, but my current classroom library has very few books that they are not interested in. I also don't have a reading corner or cozy place for my students to quietly grab a book, get comfortable, and read.
These new, exciting books and reading nook will capture my student's attention and motivate them to read daily in class as well as at home.
The reading carpet and pillows are for the reading nook. I want my students to have an area where they can sit and read when they finish their work early. The books I chose are adventurous, mysterious, thrilling, and funny. The topics in a lot of these books are what students are really interested in. I even chose book sets that I've seen students read and know they loved. I know my students will be excited for a quiet reading space and new exciting books! Thank you for your support!
