I work with an incredible group of diverse kindergarten students. Most of the families are low income families and educational materials are hard to come by.
Early childhood grades have always been something that is very near and dear to my heart.
There are so many different cultures and personalities, but the one thing that my students all have in common is that they all love to learn and work together as a classroom community. They each have a lot to offer and share.
I am requesting for a set of books for my library that will teach my students about financial literacy. What is money? How do we earn money? What are the importance of saving money? All of these concepts will be introduced in these carefully picked out books. These books will allow me to teach many different types of life skills such as money management to my students. These books will be a great way to introduce to my students how economics work.
I will also share these wonderful books with my kids and their parents by starting my own lending library to promote reading at home.
With your help, having this class set will allow me to share books that are connected with my current unit of study with my students and their families to promote the importance of reading.
Read a loud is my favorite activity during our day.
This set of books is a timeless classic for my kids that I keep borrowing from a local library. With these books, the students can freely read during center time in our cozy corner. They will also be able to use the books to help them draw a reading response.
