I teach 24 amazing kindergarten children in a Title I Illinois school. Our school is a Pre-K to 4th-grade building. Over half of our students qualify for free or reduced-price lunches. My students are very eager to learn, and they learn best with hands-on activities. I want to provide my students with materials that will encourage them to want to learn. My students develop ownership and respect for their classroom and the materials they use in the room.
Benjamin Franklin said, "Tell me and I forget, teach me and I will learn, involve me and I will remember." I love this quote and this is what I strive for each and every day with my students.
I want them to be hands-on with their learning. I feel this is how they will be most impacted.
Each project donated to our classroom will truly help the students' learning process and will provide new and exciting tools to keep them engaged in the learning process. Thank you so much for considering a donation to this project for my students. We greatly appreciate you!
My Project
My students love small group time! We have small reading, writing, and math time daily. Teachers Pay Teachers have so many great ideas for station time for these subjects. I like to change out the activities for small groups weekly.
These activities get the kids excited to learn about reading, writing, and math skills.
The cardstock paper is used to copy the activities onto for durability. Thank you for considering helping our classroom with this project. These subjects are so important at the kindergarten level and the more hands-on activities I have for them, the better.
