My Students

"I can't read that!, I don't want to read that!, I don't like to read!" These are all statements I hear from struggling readers. With reading comprehension games students will learn the skills in a different way and they will see themselves as successful.

I am fortunate to teach in a low income school with 25 third grade students who are enthusiastic about learning.

These resources will be used by four third grade classrooms and be used by over 100 students this year alone. My students love socialization and working with a group to practice skills we have been working on. They are highly motivated to learn when the learning activity is a game.

My Project

The Reading Comprehension Activity Library and Vocabulary Building Games Library will increase their ability to become better readers. They will create a better understanding of the many topics covered in the classroom. My students' minds are like sponges. They absorb everything around them so these actual hands-on games will help reinforce learning These games will provide my students with a more interactive learning environment that will make them absolutely fall in love with reading!

They need these concrete objects and games to help them understand the concept as they physically play and use them. My students would be grateful for these items, and it will help them become a success later in life!
