This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
"The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is that little extra!" - Jimmy Johnson
My students are a great group of second-grade learners from different economic and social backgrounds that love to try new things.
They love reading, exploring, and everything about learning! Because they have a love for learning, I want to do everything in my power to make learning magical for them. I want to provide them with as many extras in their environment. Our classroom won't just be an uncomfortable place where we come to learn, but a place that is safe, secure, and where learning is fun.
My Project
The students will have the opportunity to read different kinds of books.
No matter what their reading level is, these books will enable all my students to engage in a book without a struggle!
I chose these books because I have read some of them aloud, and my students showed high interest in them. The purpose of the books is to give the students what they like, and for them to grasp hold of them and love reading. I want each of them to develop a love for reading.
When they go to the store, I want them to ask their parents to buy them a book instead of a toy or candy!
