Help me give my students the ability to practice reading and sight words with lots of fun and engaging items!

Located in a high needs community, our school is striving to give our students every opportunity to be successful and foster a love for learning. I teach at a Title I school where 100% of my students receive lunch as part of the free and reduced price meal program. Many of my students come from low-income households. I truly believe in equal education for all children and this is my main goal on a daily basis. I refuse to allow being low-income to be an excuse for why my students and classroom don't have everything that my students need and deserve to become better readers and mathematicians.
Although many of them face adverse experiences in their home lives, my students come to school each day with an energy and excitement for learning and for each other.
As a teacher, it it my goal to continue to foster this energy and excitement. As a second year teacher, I lack the materials and resources to always make this happen but will continue to strive for excellence in my teaching!
Reading is definitely an important skill and the students in my class are at various levels. These items will allow my students to be engaged while I’m teaching other students the skills they need to be a successful reader. In my classroom staying busy and engaged is the key to success and these items will help this happen at all times during small group time. The students love to feel independent and do engaging activities during the day so this is a favorite time for almost all the class. These items will also help the students grow inn reading, letter sounds, and sight words. These are the building blocks of reading so these are a necessity for a classroom!
