My Students

My students come together in 5th grade from five different elementary schools. They come from a variety of backgrounds and ethnicities. All of my students learn at different rates and have different learning styles.

We spend our year getting to know one another and learning to love each other and grow together.

By the time students leave my room to start a new journey in middle school, they know they have been loved and will forever be part of my team!

My Project

My students have recently learned about the book The Big Game by Tim Green. We have been doing book tastings and they have become interested in the topic of this book - a sports player who expresses to his teacher that he cannot read.

By supplying students with this book, they will be able to follow along with me as we read the book.

This will help those students that struggle with reading and focusing.

My hope for this book is that it will be an encouragement for those students that also struggle with reading. Students will be able to relate to this book on a personal level.
