My students need headphones for individual listening and learning and as many books as possible to enhance comprehension and high achievement in our Accelerated Reader program.

My Students

My school is a Title 1 school with a lot of heart and great expectations for high achievement.

My students come from lower income families that can not afford some school supplies that are needed for 3rd grade, nor have capabilities to work on homework that involves internet at home.

With that being said, my students are resilient and eager to learn.

I greatly appreciate anything that would help them to grow in my class and in other grades to come

My Project

These materials will enhance listening and comprehension skills on an individual level. My students will thrive in better understanding of a book by using headphones. We always need books in our class quest to be leaders in our Accelerated Reader program!

My students and I love reading and this project will definitely benefit from having more books and headphones.

Comprehension of stories read will improve because the headphones will help to isolate outside noises and students will be able to concentrate on the assignment at hand.

I am looking forward to getting my project funded for my students because I know they will greatly reap the benefits of it.
