My students need places to sit and read comfortably on the floor. Right now students lean on filing cabinets, cupboards, and bookcases to read. They read for 20-30 minutes at a time.

My Students
I love the diversity that I have in my classroom. I have students from all over the world. The students from all grade levels work on reading, writing, listening and speaking.
The students are excited to be there and are willing to work hard even when something is difficult for them.
Many of the students at my school are on free and reduced lunches. We have students that live in poverty, some in extreme poverty. Many families struggle to cover basic needs.
My Project
I have chosen Flex-Space Comfy Floor Seats because of the padding on the bottom and back support. I have a small room with limited space and students end up finding nooks and crannies to lean against while they sit and read. It can be incredibly uncomfortable to sit and read for twenty to thirty minutes.
Having these seats will allow my students to sit comfortably while they read.
It's hard to concentrate on what you're reading when you can't get comfortable. We work on reading stamina, asking students to read for longer and longer amounts of time. I believe having a comfortable place to sit will help students build reading stamina.
