This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My classroom is a partner class as well an inclusion classroom, with some children that have learning disabilities in reading and math. Every child deserves to feel successful. Hands-on activities and integration of technology help to reach each student on their most basic, kinesthetic level.

We are a Title I school in one of the fastest growing cities in NM, with over 50% of our students receiving free or reduced-price lunch.

My students are eager to learn new skills, new topics, and gain a deeper understanding.

My Project

It is important that students get to select their own books to read. So, it is also important that there are quality choices, at their level, that will appeal to them. The Upper Grades Leveled Books Classroom Library provides such books.

Every child deserves to love reading.

With a selection of interesting titles, each student is sure to find a book that peaks their interest. If you can interest them, they will be more likely to read. And, if they like to read, they continue to learn. Plus, with the library being leveled, each student can know where to find a book at their independent reading level, without having to be discouraged or unsure.
