A typical day in my classroom is a lot of students coming in and working in groups. We do brain breaks in the middle of our language arts lessons, the students enjoy getting up and moving as much as possible.
The students however all struggle to read, and are lacking variety in the ways to practice.
They are busy, they all come from a variety of backgrounds. Some are struggling more then others. It takes quality multi-sensory lessons to keep the students attention.
My Project
These reading supplies will be used during my reading classes. The letter tiles will be used to word build basic sight words. All of my students come into my room lacking abilities to do sight words and after they work with these tiles, they will do much better. The other supplies such as readers theater will be used during guided reading. I tried a readers theater online once with my students and they absolutely loved it! The students will continue to learn to read.
Your donations will help my students gain the skills they need to become better readers.
It will keep their attention to continue to do multi-sensory lessons to gain confidence in reading and want to read. It will get my students excited for reading.
